Ph D topic in Pharma Marketing (customer related)

Hi Friends !! Time has come for me to put forth my topic for PhD. Pharma marketing has always been my area of interest. I have certain ideas for the topic, bt m not able to put up the statement. Need ur Help !!! :( The key words are : customer satisfaction, customer retention strategy, consumer behavior, rural marketing strategy, customer perception towards promotional activities, . I think rural marketing can be a prospective topic with reference to Indian Pharma Market, looking into the unorganized but high potential status of the market. I have not reached at any conclusion. Kindly suggest me. Sandeep D.

Wow... I know very little about pharmaceutical marketing. That is a heck of a topic! I do know what you need to do, though: Read a lot of literature reviews written in the past 3 years. Collect all the articles you can find about this topic. As you contemplate what you want to do for your project, it is so interesting to see what other people did in recent years. That is where you will find your answer. This is all about contributing to your field, obviously. So... take a problem solving approach. When you read 5 recent articles about pharma marketing in the Indian market, what PROBLEMS have other scholars been trying to solve? Did their efforts raise any questions that need to be addressed? What problems remain to be solved? Try this as a starting point: choose 3 different research methods that you understand (quantitative or qualitative), and think of them as the weapons you are taking into battle. With those weapons, what problem can you solve in this field? :-)
