Business Administration - need a few ideas for my research topic

Just need a few ideas for my reaserch topic for the award of a Business Degree in Business Administration-Human Resources Option.

I am interested in writing on Training and Development.

OK, so if I am understanding you correctly, you will be writing a paper hopefully on training and development in order to receive your business degree in business administration with a HR option. Is that right?

If so, I suggest you begin your research by conducting an internet search using keywords such as "training and development", "human resources", and "programs" or "methods". What areas of training and development are you most interested in? This will help us narrow your topic to something more manageable.

I am looking at identifying training need, design and delivery of training. I want to focus on designing and delivering training for female prison inmates in one of our local prisons.

I think your best bet for research on this is to contact the local prison system. You can contact the DA or DDA to begin with; he or she can provide you the contact information with the PR or HR individual at the prison that will probably be able to give you the most assistance. If you know who to speak with at the prison, you can go directly to them, but the DDA or DA is probably your first step. I don't think you're going to find a lot of information online about your topic, and I think you will become easily/quickly frustrated with the information that is online as it is not geared toward your perspective. You can speak with the prison official regarding what training programs they already have, and what he/she thinks would be good additions to their existing program. You can then either evaluate what they are currently doing or create something of your own to fill their needs. You may even be able to actually interview some of the inmates in regards to what kinds of programs they would like to see, or what they think of the current programs.
This sounds like a very interesting topic, and I think once you can get in touch with the right people, you will have no problem writing the paper.
