hi, everyone

I'm writing a english research paper on a question stated "What sort of training are Medical students getting for nutrition. Is it adequate?

I was wondering if you could give me any ideas or suggestions how to approach this question or how to start the introduction. What kind of sources to look at to answer this question?

I would really appreciate your help.

Greetings!

I think that, in order to start the introduction, you will need to know which direction your paper will go in. For example, if your preliminary research indicates that the nutrition training for medical students is inadequate, your introductory paragraph will indicate that. Your thesis will take a position such as "Although there has been improvement in recent years, the emphasis medical universities give to the study of nutrition remains inadequate."

You will want to find articles in professional nutrition journals, such as the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Nutrition Journal. You might also want to search medical journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Association. Finally, you could also look at the curriculum for medical students at some major medical universities to see just how many courses in nutrition they require/offer.

I hope this helps get you started!

Thanks,

Re: question about paper on medicine

hi everyone

I am writing on a topic " What sort of training do medical students get in nutrition? Is it adequate?

I have looked for sources but I am having trouble finding books, articles on the question. What kind of keywords from the question should help me with my search?

Do you have any websites where I can find medical curriculum for medical students? Do you have any suggestion on sources that could help with my topic?

I would really appreciate your help.

Greetings!

Many medical schools post their curriculum for medical students online. For example, here is one from Virginia Commonwealth University, which I found simply using an internet search with the terms "medical school curriculum": Medical School Curriculum Overview

Harvard Medical School felt it was so important, they founded a Division of Nutrition in 1996 to make nutrition a discipline. I found their site using the search terms "nutrition medical training": nutrition

Usually the most obvious search terms will do the trick; occasionally you must be a bit more creative and mix them up a bit. Try varying combinations of words like "medical school," "nutrition studies," "medical training nutrition curriculum," and so forth. Search using typical internet search engines, and also within your school library's databases for articles in nutrition and medical journals.

I hope this helps!

Thanks,
